We have the keys!

„If you  have the keys and do not fear, you can land anywhere!“ This sentence said by Heidi Baker at the conference in Bratislava really got me thinking. She went on telling us a story (oh, how I love her stories!) about a very expensive plane full of food for the poor being stuck in a mud and sinking. The message was that in every situation you have a choice: you can either look at the mud – your problema or at the food – the blessing you can bring to others. I understood the message of fixing our eyes on Jesus and His Provision, His Plan, but what are the keys we are supposed to have???

After the sermon, we ended up, as usual, on our knees, saying Yes to whatever He has set before us, asking Him to send us out, so we can land anywhere in His perfect will. We cried out for people groups He is sending us to, so I automatically cried out for my patients. I cried out desperately for the keys to their hearts (I am a cardiologist, so a human heart has a very special meaning to me :) His Presence was so real, more real than anything in this world. First I saw a bunch of four different keys being given to me from the source of a bright light. I wasn´t sure if it is appropriate to show dissappointment, but I took the risk and cried out that I want the keys to the hearts of ALL my patients, not just four of them.  And then I heard the Voice telling me: Ok, I will give you the universal key. And a beautiful ancient looking key was handed to me, its cuts being ornamentally forming the word Love. I saw this key unlocking and bringing life into the stone heart of a man.

Yes of course! It cannot be more simple! It is always love that unlocks people´s hearts! I was really getting excited to see what will happen at my new workplace. I couldn´t wait to start working again! But the Lord prepared a wonderful demonstration of this truth for me just two days later.

I was walking down the main street in Bratislava with my sister and we literally bumped into a beautiful girl from the local church. We were introduced to each other few months ago, but never really had an opportunity to talk, both of us having a pretty busy schedules. So we instantly felt this is one of those divine appointments and we both were actually considering to get a cup of hot soup (slovak culture is a soup culture :) and get a short rest. Perfect! This girl was on her way to  her friend´s place to get the extra set of keys from her apartment, as she couldn´t find her own keys. She has searched for them everywhere and finally gave up, hoping she forgot them at home.
We sat down, I shared what I have been sensing about her in the last days, that she was shining so brightly that I somehow always knew where she was even among hundreds of people at the conference. She shared what God has been doing recently in her life, and we were just really delighting in the Lord, talking about His Goodness, Love and His beautiful ways. The Presence was so strong, that we ended up in tears. After about an hour or two we stood up, said goodbye and on our way out of the restaurant she simply pulled out her keys from the pocket in her coat! I saw it, that movement was so natural, so simple and we just stared at the keys, unable to say a single word.
What struck me at most was the fact, that we didn´t even pray for that! It didn´t even cross our minds! We simply enjoyed His Presence, fixed our eyes on Him, thanked Him for what He has done and what He is doing in our lives and the keys just appeared! And then it clicked! We didn´t concentrate on the problem, we didn´t just see the mud, but we saw His blessings and He blessed us even more!

„Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.“ Psalm 37:4

Sometimes we strive so much, work too hard, try to please everybody around us. But there is just ONE THING that is needed in times like these. Stop for a while, sit down at His feet, rest in His Presence, thank Him, delight in Him, listen to Him and He will take care of the rest. If you care for Him, He will care for you.
„But few things are needed – or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.“ Luke 10:41-42
When we choose to love Him instead of worrying, He will take care of our needs, and anyway,  I will tell you a secret: without Him we cannot do anything! But with Him all things are possible!
