His eyes

Psalms 32:8 „I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with my eye.”
Yesterday I spent the whole evening with this verse. He wants us to know Him so intimately, that we will be moved just by one look of His eyes. He does not want to force us to obey Him. He wants us to be sensitive to His desires. This verse took me back.. Back to the moment when I experienced the power of His look.

One evening, I was exhausted, discouraged, frustrated with how things were going.. So I came to Him.. as I was.. I did not pretend to be ok. I told Him I cannot do this anymore.

We met in the garden, it was warm summer night, the sky was full of stars, so we laid down on a grass in a way, that only our heads were touching. I did not see His face, we did not talk, I just wanted to watch the stars. Suddenly they started dancing! They moved in a beautiful pattern, it was breathtaking. At the same time I realised Jesus was moving the stars with the look of His eyes! He did not say a word, He did not move, the stars simply followed the direction of His look. What kind of power was coming out of His eyes that even the stars obeyed Him? And He did it just to comfort me..

If the stars can respond in such a way, why could not we? When He sets His eyes on something He desires, are we willing to pay the price? Can we be the coin in His pocket? Can He pay with our lives for what He desires? Yes, we can get so close, because He paid the price. But for every relationship you need two parts. The message: He has done everything, you have to do nothing is just so wrong! Yes, He loved us first, but we have to respond to His love! All creation is waiting eagerly for the sons of God to stand up and respond to His Love. If we come out of this passive, consumer attitude, if we will be moved by the look of His eyes, we will be truly alive. This is my definition of revival.
