You are being observed

„Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 I have loved this verse my whole Christian life. It just gives such a simple instruction how to witness to people around us. LET THEM SEE your good works, and they will see our Father in heaven. But it took me a long time to realise, that these works are not our own efforts and actions, but that they have been prepared by God with great care and love maybe even before we were born! „For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Eph 2:10 In the last few years I could learn the difference between my works and His works!! How powerful! Our own works can give us a feeling of temporary satisfaction, maybe some appreciation from people, but mostly we end up exhausted, and after a while you see the results slowly fading away.. But His prepared works often ...

We have the keys!

„If you   have the keys and do not fear, you can land anywhere!“ This sentence said by Heidi Baker at the conference in Bratislava really got me thinking. She went on telling us a story (oh, how I love her stories!) about a very expensive plane full of food for the poor being stuck in a mud and sinking. The message was that in every situation you have a choice: you can either look at the mud – your problema or at the food – the blessing you can bring to others. I understood the message of fixing our eyes on Jesus and His Provision, His Plan, but what are the keys we are supposed to have??? After the sermon, we ended up, as usual, on our knees, saying Yes to whatever He has set before us, asking Him to send us out, so we can land anywhere in His perfect will. We cried out for people groups He is sending us to, so I automatically cried out for my patients. I cried out desperately for the keys to their hearts (I am a cardiologist, so a...

Treasure hunt

Image
As a teenager I really enjo yed taking part in the treasure hunts organised in our youth group. We had great young leaders investing into teenagers and treasure hunts were my favourites. We didn´t sit in one place, but we were searching for the hidden treasures, usually hints leading us to the next one, in the city, on the streets, in the parks. But only many years later I´ve got the chance to understand God´s perspective of this play. I have heard stories of Christians, mainly from US, doing treasure hunts, searching for people that God is sending their way. So when my friend from Texas stayed with me, I really wanted to try it! And she agreed! I was excited like a child and couldn´t wait until the next day. I was first to wake up, great! I wanted to be first to ask Him for instructions. So I tried to be very quiet, not to wake up the others and just started talking to Him, enjoying the time alone with Him, asking to show me what He has prepared for us All of a su...

Do you know Rick Joyner and his books? I love them! They are full of adventure and passion, you simply cannot put them down! His insight, the way he sees the church as an army that is preparing for the battle is so inspiring. I have a great respect for this man of God, this great general of His army. So imagine my excitement as I saw a scene while praying, that would just so fit in one of his books. I was shocked and honored to get a glimpse of a spiritual battlefield. I was in the middle of an army camp. I was invisible, I could move freely, I could even approach people and watch their faces closely without them noticing anything. It was a small camp in the middle of a forest, it was just before the dawn. Soldiers were still sleeping in their tents, only two watchmen were awake, sitting by the fire and chatting. Then all of the sudden a sharp sound of trumpet broke the silence. Sleepy, tire...
